Design for Health

AK Design Partnership have considerable experience of working within Healthcare establishments. We have specialist expertise in Mental Health and Secure Psychiatric environments. Our projects include Refurbishment and New Build schemes including addressing anti-ligature and infection control issues and designing to include requirements of Hospital Building Notes (HBN) and Hospital Technical Memorandum (HTM) standards.

 

All of our projects are scrutinized to accord with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). AKDP have recent experience in providing complete design services for Adult Psychiatric Wards, PICU Wards, Psychiatric Secure Forensic Services Wards, Mental Health Day Hospital, Section 136 & Seclusion Rooms and Community Mental Health Day Centres. Our other recent Health Service projects include schemes for Primary Care Trusts including a Geriatric Respite Care Ward and refurbishment and extensions to Primary Care Health Centres.

 

We have been employed by Health Trusts on a framework agreement or on individual appointments, acting on our own or leading an entire Design Team  as Lead Consultant, AKDP have also acted as designer for Design and Build projects or as a supply chain partner whilst working directly for the Principal Supply Chain Partner or Contractor within P21 Projects.
